To access the application, you must have 'issue edit' permissions in the project.
How to navigate to the app
In your Jira project navigate to Apps → Certificates
Main Screen
The main screen allows you to add, edit and delete your certificate records.
You can also trigger our scheduled automations:
“Update due certificates” - this command will update all due certificates from the public HTTPS endpoint. After a certificate rotation, you may want to trigger this instead of waiting for the automation to see the updated values.
“Create due issues” - normally issues or service requests are created automatically once a day. This option is primarily for urgent issue creation, for example if you have registered a new certificate that is about to expire.
Add certificate screen
To start, enter the common name e.g. atlassian.com and press ‘Fetch’ to automatically retrieve the certificate details. This requires the endpoint to be reachable from the Internet.
All certificate fields except the notes are now populated.
Press ‘Save’ to create the new record.
Please use the notes to record any special instructions for the engineers who will be working on the renewal of the certificate in the future. By default, this information goes into the issue details section.
Jira Service Management
In Jira Service Management projects you have additionally the organisation and affected services.
If the affected services dropdown is empty, please ask your project administrator to provide the required Jira API keys.
